Renovations Underway at Two Stonerise Care Centers
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (April 15, 2021) – Stonerise, one of West Virginia’s leading providers of transitional and skilled nursing care, announced two of its care centers are undergoing major renovations to benefit patients, team members and families.
Stonerise Princeton and Stonerise Rainelle are both receiving improvements that will provide additional comfort and support for patients and visitors.
“Reinvesting in our centers has always been a priority for Stonerise,” said Stonerise Chief Executive Officer Larry Pack. “Part of our commitment to those we serve is to provide modern, comfortable and safe spaces to live and receive care. We believe it’s critical to continually dedicate resources to keep our buildings up to date.”
Stonerise Princeton’s renovations include expansive updates throughout both the skilled nursing and assisted living floors of the care center. A new 1,500-square-foot therapy gym features a patient training kitchen, bathroom and top of the line equipment in a bright, inviting atmosphere. Through the conversion of space, the majority of the building now features private rooms for patients. Stonerise Princeton increased its license from 64 to 80 certified skilled beds. Multiple hospice suites were added as a new service offering. Other improvements include a new café space and made-to-order kitchen for short-term transitional care patients. The Chapel was also renovated to be more inviting with more natural light. Much of the building received new furniture, paint, handrails, and ceilings. Renovations are expected to be complete in late summer 2021.
Stonerise Rainelle’s renovations include the addition of six large semi-private skilled-nursing suites. All patient rooms at Stonerise Rainelle are now either private or semi-private. Construction also includes two new family living rooms that can be used for common space among patients or to welcome visitors and loved ones. The salon received a facelift to allow for more natural light. A new 2,400-square-foot building was constructed on the grounds that includes a training room and additional climate-controlled storage areas. The training room will be used to offer classes for certified nursing assistants and for continuing education for current team members. Renovations will be complete in April 2021.
Throughout its 12-year history, Stonerise has placed a strong emphasis on ensuring that its physical spaces meet the needs of patients and families. Stonerise only offers private and semi-private rooms.
