Stonerise Infection Preventionist Honored with National McKnight’s Women of Distinction Award
Elizabeth Dauch, RN, CIC, Corporate Infection Preventionist at Stonerise, has been named a Veteran VIP in the McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards, a national award program jointly presented by McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care.
The program, in its fourth year, recognizes women who have made significant contributions to the senior living, skilled nursing or home care professions or who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the fields. Veteran VIPs are women who have more than 15 years of experience in the industry and who are in positions at a level of lower than vice president or the equivalent.
“Elizabeth exemplifies a dedication and passion for her work that goes beyond the scope of her job duties,” said Larry Pack, Stonerise Chief Executive Officer. “I am grateful to McKnight’s for celebrating the work of women in healthcare and their unwavering commitment to providing quality care.”
Elizabeth is responsible for supporting infection control team members at each of Stonerise’s 17 care centers to implement disease outbreak intervention procedures. Elizabeth and her team are responsible for the quality of patient care as it relates to the investigation, control, and prevention of infection. In December 2021, Elizabeth became Board Certified in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC). By earning the certification, Elizabeth represents one of just over 500 CICs in long-term care throughout 40 countries worldwide. Through Elizabeth’s leadership, Stonerise is able to deliver on its commitment to provide safe, sanitary, and comfortable environments for those they serve.
“The skilled nursing, senior living and home care industries have benefited greatly from the knowledge and experience of these seasoned professionals,” said McKnight’s Editorial Director John O’Connor.
Nominations were judged by an external panel of industry experts. All winners were honored at an awards celebration on last month in Chicago.
