Bernard “B.J.” Evans has over 25 years of IT experience, supporting and leading teams on six continents. He is a technology executive, entrepreneur and ordained minister. He has deep expertise in all facets of technology delivery, including hands-on participation, project management, process development, change management, personnel management and long-term strategic planning.
As Chief Information Officer of Stonerise, B.J. is focused on planning, developing and delivering best-in-class technology solutions that support Stonerise’s growth, operations and patient experience road maps. He provides leadership to the information technology support, enterprise applications, business intelligence, business analyst and helpdesk teams.
Before joining Stonerise in 2019, B.J. served as Executive Vice President of Advantage Technologies, where he provided CIO and management consulting for multiple mining and metals customers. In 2014, he co-founded Aridea Solutions, where he also served as Managing Director. Aridea is focused on the development and delivery of remote environmental monitoring solutions for the energy and natural resources sector, utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Prior to Aridea, he served as Global Head of Mining Solutions at Tata Consulting Services from 2012 to 2014. At Tata Consulting Services, B.J. served as a strategic and tactical consultant for Fortune 500 client CxOs globally. B.J. also spent six years with Metinvest Holding, LLC/United Coal Company as Chief Information Officer.
Early in his career, B.J. served in technician, project management, information security specialist and engineer roles at Bell Atlantic Network Integration, Ntelos Communications, Lockheed Martin Information Technology and West Virginia Medical Institute.
B.J. serves as Senior Pastor at Jodie Baptist Church, in Jodie WV. He received his master’s in Business with a concentration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He spent his undergraduate studies at West Virginia University Institute of Technology, graduating with a degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.
B.J. is a West Virginia native. He grew up in Logan County and now lives in Clay County with his wife, Krechella, and three children at home, Nicholas, Hunter and Ilyauna. He is active in the Clay County community and enjoys bird hunting with his two German Shorthaired Pointers.
