David Gardner

Chief Business Development Officer

David Gardner is an experienced business executive and healthcare expert with more than 35 years of experience, excelling in business management, business strategy and corporate leadership. As Chief Business Development Officer at Stonerise, he guides strategic growth and champions partnerships and capital acquisitions. He has been successful in driving new market opportunity while growing top-line revenue and operating margins. He also leads the strategic initiative to transition Stonerise into a post-acute transitional care model that serves to support patients through a continuum of care.

With expansive knowledge of healthcare operations, including long-term, post-acute and home health care, David is accountable for generating business and revenue and developing market-specific strategies for regional business growth. David is a transformational leader who is passionate about reinventing traditional healthcare models to improve patient experience.

David’s career spans several leadership positions in the capital markets and financial sectors. Prior to joining Stonerise in 2014, David advised Wall Street banks and global financial services firms on best practice, risk mitigation and operational efficiencies through a Wall Street-based firm he co-founded, called SMART Consulting LLC. SMART was later acquired by Collaborative Consulting, where David led mergers and acquisitions, business development and business strategy execution while also earning a national recognition as an elder-care expert.

A seventh-generation West Virginian, David is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and the Wharton School’s Securities Industry Institute. He has long been active in West Virginia’s political and business communities.

David enjoys spending time with his two adult children and has been blessed with four grandsons. He loves traveling, fly-fishing and spending time with family.
