Steven (Steve) F. White has spent decades promoting small businesses and economic development within West Virginia. Steve was born and raised in Ohio, but has spent his entire professional career in the Mountain State. A Certified Public Accountant and long-time attorney, Steve is an entrepreneur, business investor and philanthropist. He is passionate about job creation and economic growth. As co-founder of Stonerise, Steve is responsible for vision and growth strategy.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law. He also holds a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Ohio University.
Steve co-founded Stonerise in 2009 with his long-time business partner and friend, Larry Pack. Steve and Larry founded Stonerise on Christian principles with an intention of creating a better way of caring for patients at every step of their health journey. Stonerise seeks to provide premium, compassionate care and to help each patient to restore their health and get the most out of their lives.
Having spent many years as a government affairs professional, Steve is of-counsel with White Law Offices, PLLC, in Charleston. He has maintained an AV peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell for the past 20 years and is a member of the Outstanding Lawyers of America. Steve was formerly Chair of the West Virginia Personnel Board, the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Board of Managers, the Charleston Area Medical Center Foundation and the West Virginia Bar Foundation. He served for 15 years as a member of the West Virginia Tourism Commission and is also on the Board of Directors of IGS Energy.
Steve serves on the Board of Directors for Encova Mutual Insurance, as chair of the audit committee and member of the executive committee. Steve was named as a “Distinguished West Virginian” by former West Virginia Governor Bob Wise.
Steve has been blessed with five children and eight grandchildren. He has served on the finance committee of his church, Blessed Sacrament for more than 20 years. He resides in Charleston and enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in Canaan Valley.
